St Peter’s doesn’t exist without the small army of volunteers who support its running. This may include cleaning, monthly flowers, tidying the churchyard, mowing the grass, offering refreshments, baking cakes, tower and handbell ringing, playing the organ, fundraising, and working on various management committees at a local, church parish, or diocesan level.
The list is endless – and this all offered by unpaid volunteers from Kirby Bellars and the surrounding villages. Unfortunately, these functions have a price tag. The insurance of the building alone runs into many thousands of pounds. All this enables the village to care for, maintain, and open the church and churchyard weekly.
We are, of course, very grateful for the generosity of our volunteers and community members who support us at services, fundraising events, or regular donations.
Maybe you can support us too?
We have a 100 Club, which enables you to support the running of the church whilst being in a monthly draw for a prize. For only £5 a month (per number). For more information visit: https://mailchi.mp/ab1754d1fde3/stpeters100club
