The volunteers of St Peters, Kirby Bellars, warmly welcome you to our project page.
The church of St Peters has stood at the heart of our small Leicestershire village for centuries, and it’s now the focus of a dedicated effort to preserve and prepare the church and its grounds for the next generation. These pages share our story – where we’ve come from, what we’re doing now, and how you can be part of what comes next.
Explore the site:
- Discover the story of the church so far on our History page
- Learn more about the project and the people behind it on Background, including our Team
- Read about our historic Bells and the work underway to restore them
- Find out how you can get involved on Support Us
- Follow our progress on the Updates page, where we regularly share news from the major project to repair the crumbling Chancel, install a permanent roof, repair the Medieval stonework, and prepare the building for the future by installing a toilet and servery.
Whether you’re a longtime member of the village, a visitor with a love of local history, or simply curious about the church down the lane, we hope you’ll find something here to enjoy – and perhaps even a way to help.
